PolisherWe are hiring for a Polisher for a manufacturing company. This is a temp to perm position with full-time hire for the right candidate.Role And ResponsibilitiesAs a Manufacturing Laborer, the incumbent filling the role has the following responsibilities:Perform tasks and duties as assigned by the manufacturing Lead or Production ManagerUse tools and fixtures to prepare and polish partsPrepare parts through deburring, rough grinding, finish grinding and fine sandingPolish parts with the appropriate compounds and polishing wheelsRetrieve parts from stock to ensure workstation is supplied for the entire shiftCommunicate inventory issues to supervisorRecognize and communicate defects to supervisor to maintain quality standards for all productionMaintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including proper storage of tools and materialsDocument and report out on performance for operational tracking and reportingAd Hoc requests as necessary to support production and operationsQualifications And Education RequirementsAn understanding of the manufacturing processes and requirements for producing floor cleaning machines. Experiential or educational knowledge of the operational needs of a machine manufacturing process. Exception skill and capability to manage the daily requirements and balance the short-term and long-term needs of production. Ability to lift heavy machinesPreferred Skills• 2+ years of manufacturing experience • Bilingual is a plus • Experience working in a production environment • Experience using hand tools and power tools • Effective time management of daily tasksPerformanceAbility to read and write in English, Ability to stand for up to 8 consecutive hours with regular breaks, ability to lift unassisted up to 50 lbs., ability to use hand tools and power tools in a safe manor, ability to understand and use PPE appropriatelySchedule: M-F from 7am to 3:30pm Pay: $23- 25/hr. depending on experience
