Requirements
- Active RN licensure (or eligibility) and ICU experience required
- Prior CVICU, CICU, or comparable cardiac ICU experience
- Competency with ventilators, telemetry, and hemodynamic monitoring (including PA catheter setup/interpretation)
- Experience titrating vasoactive medications, sedation, and paralytics
- Skills with tracheostomies, transvenous pacing, cardioversion, chest tube care; familiarity with IABP, Impella, and CRRT preferred
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts, alternating weekends, and floating to other areas as needed
- Documentation experience with Cerner preferred
- CCRN recommended (not required)

Responsibilities
- Provide direct critical care nursing for patients in a 16-bed cardiovascular ICU, maintaining appropriate acuity-based nurse-to-patient ratios (typically 1:1 or 2:1)
- Manage ventilators and advanced cardiac/respiratory support devices and titrate vasoactive drips per unit protocols
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, invasive hemodynamics, and PA catheter data to guide patient management
- Perform or assist with unit procedures and emergency interventions (central lines, cardioversion, chest tubes, pericardiocentesis, thoracentesis, TEE support)
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in Cerner
- Adhere to unit policies and dress code, collaborate with interdisciplinary team, and float to other areas when required
