Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: The RN is responsible for providing safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care. The role includes assessing patient needs, developing and managing care plans, evaluating outcomes, educating patients and families, and supporting overall quality and patient satisfaction. The RN also provides guidance and oversight to licensed and non-licensed staff. Key Responsibilities: Complete patient assessments and reassessments and make appropriate independent clinical decisions. Develop, prioritize, implement, and update individualized care plans. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatments and interventions. Coordinate care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Provide patient and family education throughout the stay and at discharge. Delegate duties appropriately and mentor/precept staff. Promote teamwork, patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Support evidence-based practice and participate in practice governance and process improvement initiatives.
