Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a travel assignment at a Level II Trauma Center acute care hospital, requiring active chemotherapy certification and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Oncology unit within a 426-bed, short-term acute care hospital that is part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Level II Trauma Center
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating to other Med/Surg units required when needed
• Epic EMR experience required
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• Current BLS, NIHSS, and Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Prior oncology nursing experience required
• Candidates must not have any prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license
• Flu vaccination required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccination required; religious or medical exemptions considered
• 1 reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Royal blue scrubs required
• Candidates who were previously employed at this facility as permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility
