Lead Health Unit Coordinator/Telemetry Technician

The Lead Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)/Telemetry Technician performs all functions of the Health Unit Coordinator/Telemetry Technician while providing leadership, operational coordination, and staff development for the Health Unit Coordinator team. The Lead HUC/Telemetry Technician is responsible for continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring, recognizing and communicating changes in patient cardiac status, documenting telemetry activity, and maintaining telemetry records in accordance with departmental policies. Under the direction of Nursing Leadership and the Administrative Director, the Lead HUC/Telemetry Technician serves as a resource, trainer, and preceptor for Health Unit Coordinators, coordinates departmental workflow and scheduling functions, and provides clerical support to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

Minimum Requirements:

• 20+ years experience as a Tele Tech
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Dysrhythmia course
• Currently precepting new hires
• Able to mentor new staff once they complete their orientation
• Able to work with nursing leadership
• Intermediate computer skills, excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods with the ability to lift, push and pull

Salary Range - $18.76 - $28.43 hourly (Based on experience)
