Travel RN – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Pipestone, Minnesota 56164
Facility: Pipestone County Medical Center & Family Clinic Avera
Department: Operating Room

Shift: 5×8-hour day shifts
Contract Length: 16 weeks, with possible extension to 18 weeks
Start Date: November 23
Charting System: EPIC

Schedule

• 8-hour day shifts, typically 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

• Start/end times may vary based on the surgery schedule

• 1:4 call rotation , including holidays

• Christmas Day falls within the call period; the facility is closed that day

Role & Responsibilities

• OR RNs are responsible for both pre-op/post-op and circulating

• Must be comfortable working independently across multiple surgical specialties

• Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency procedures

Surgical Specialties

• Endoscopy

• General Surgery

• Orthopedics

• OB

• Cataracts

• ENT

• Pediatric dental procedures

Required Experience

Candidates must have strong OR experience and be able to independently manage OB emergency procedures , including:

• Cesarean sections

• Suction D&C

• Postpartum hemorrhage control

• Other emergent OB procedures

On-site training will be provided for facility-specific procedures and policies, but candidates must already possess the required clinical knowledge and experience.

Certifications

Required:

• BLS

• ACLS

• PALS

Preferred:

• TNCC

Additional Information

• Independent OR experience required

• Experience with both pre/post-op and circulating duties

• EPIC charting experience
