Responsibilities:Architects, designs, creates, and builds web application features; creates back-end code and interfaces for new web platforms; analyzes user needs to implement front-end design, graphics, performance, and capacity; integrates applications with other platforms as needed.Keeps up to date on web developments and trends.Experience using modern, open-source software to prototype and deploy backend web applications, including all aspects of server-side processing, data storage, and integration with frontend development.Authors friendly documentation (e.g., API documentation, deployment operations).Quickly searches and learns new programming tools and techniques.Handles large data sets and scaling their handling and storage.Collaborates with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to set up, develop, and maintain an external-facing web portal to view data sets, access data catalogs, request compute resources, and manage data access controls for an enterprise data and analytics platformDesigns and develops user-facing features on web-based applications using JavaScript/React JSDevelops, debugs, and improves performance of front-end components and application features, including implementing dynamic and interactive pagesTranslates designs and wireframes into reusable, testable and efficient front-end codeBuilds, iterates, and tests scalable, back-end APIs for web applicationsDesigns and develops data models to optimize data access for web applicationsParticipates in Agile processes including daily standups, demos, retrospectives, and sprint planningWorks closely with product owners and business analysts to gather and implement business requirementsWorks closely with designers and engineers to gather and implement product, front-end, and back-end requirementsProvides support, maintenance, and enhancements to the existing applicationCollaborates with product managers, engineers, and QA on the team to communicate and clarify designs and requirementsRequirements: Required Qualifications:All candidates must pass public trust clearance through the U.S. Federal Government. This requires candidates to either be U.S. citizens or pass clearance through the Foreign National Government System which will require that candidates have lived within the United States for at least 3 out of the previous 5 years, have a valid and non-expired passport from their country of birth and appropriate VISA/work permit documentation.Minimum of 4 years related experience.A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.Experience with one of the major cloud service providers (AWS preferred)Strong Python and Djanjo skills and experience is a must.Understanding and extensive use of Coding HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, etc.Expertise with Node.js, JavaScript framework React, or AngularStrong working knowledge of APIs, and familiarity with JSON, Web APIs, REST APIs, JSON-RPC, XML-RPC, RESTful practices, and GraphQLExperience with Docker containerization and deploymentsExperience in relational and non-relational databases like SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or similarExperience with benchmarking, monitoring, and performance engineering applications with tools such as Grafana, Sentry, and PrometheusKnowledge of automated end-to-end unit tests and testing platformsStrong documentation and problem-solving skillsExperience with Git and AWS DevSecOpsFlexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary.Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentExperience with Agile methodology, using test-driven development.Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence.Excellent command of written and spoken English.Communicates technical information to non-technical audience.Desired Qualifications:Knowledge of AuthN and AuthZ systems, including Active Directory, Okta, and AWS IAM Policies/Roles using attribute-based access controlsMedicaid dataHealthcare Data from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or Healthcare Industry Working Environment: eSimplicity supports a remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by manager. Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 5% per year.
