Associate Corporate Counsel, AWS Public Sector

You'll provide strategic legal guidance that shapes how AWS partners with government and education organizations. In this role, you'll navigate complex government contracting regulations, negotiate technology licensing agreements, and ensure compliance across public sector relationships—directly influencing how these important institutions adopt cloud technology.Key job responsibilities- Review and analyze government solicitations, proposals, and regulatory requirements to assess legal implications and ensure compliance with applicable laws and procurement regulations- Draft, negotiate, and finalize technology licensing agreements and contracts with public sector entities, addressing their specific compliance and operational needs- Provide legal counsel to Sales, business, and executive teams on government contracting regulations, procurement requirements, and compliance obligations- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Public Policy, and Security to address strategic legal matters and resolve customer inquiries regarding contract interpretation and regulatory complianceA day in the lifeAs an Associate Corporate Counsel supporting our Public Sector Legal team, you'll work on a diverse range of matters that impact our government and education customers. Your day might include reviewing and analyzing government solicitations and proposals, drafting and negotiating technology licensing agreements tailored to public sector requirements, or providing legal guidance on procurement regulations and compliance obligations. You'll collaborate closely with our Sales, Public Policy, and Security teams to address strategic questions and resolve customer inquiries about contract terms and regulatory requirements. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
