Security Officer- PRN

Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is seeking a PRN Security Officer to join our team located in the Security Department!

MINIMUN QUALIFICATIONS: No experience or training is required. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Applicants may be required to possess a current Louisiana driver's license.

JOB DUTIES:

• Patrols the buildings and grounds to detect and prevent security issues. Investigate incidents of theft, vandalism or other criminal activity and report findings to law enforcement.
• Provide emergency assistance and response to staff, patients, and visitors.
• Completes incident reports and any additional forms as necessary for all incidents in a timely manner.
• Compile and complete security complaint form and submit it to the Facilities Management Department.
• Supervise parking and resolves traffic and parking related grievances on hospital grounds. Issues employee parking violations. Provides explanation of complex and unique traffic and parking regulations.
• Monitor surveillance cameras.
• Serves as informational source to public for hospital activities.
• Responsible for securing buildings and facility. Lock and unlock doors according to locking schedule(s).
• Assist nursing units, clinical care areas and other departments with uncooperative, combative or violent patients. Provide patient watch to prevent elopement or injury to self/others.

Position-Specific Details: This is a PRN position, and the schedule will be set by the Department Manager.
