Business Intelligence Consultant (Excel)

Apply advanced Excel expertise to prepare high-quality data, reporting, and business intelligence workflows that support the training and improvement of next-generation AI systems. Key Responsibilities

• Use advanced Excel capabilities to structure, analyze, and present data for AI training initiatives.
• Partner with the customer team to understand project objectives and deliver useful business intelligence solutions.
• Clean, prepare, and validate large datasets to maintain accuracy and integrity.
• Develop and document BI workflows and processes, communicating clearly in writing and verbally.
• Turn business questions into actionable data insights and contribute input that supports model improvement.
• Create detailed Excel reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Identify opportunities to optimize and automate processes using Excel functions and add-ons.

• At least 5 years of hands-on business intelligence or analytics experience, primarily focused on Excel.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, including Power Query, PivotTables, VBA, and data modeling.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, visualization, data cleaning, and validation of large datasets for analytics or AI training.
• Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex insights to varied audiences.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time and deliverables effectively, and maintain close attention to detail.

• Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or data science projects through business intelligence work.
• Experience with process automation or optimization using Excel or related tools.
• Relevant business intelligence, analytics, or Excel certifications.

• Remote independent contractor engagement.

• $40 to $50 per hour.
