A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate 1:1 care for a high school student requiring medical support throughout the school day. This contract role is designed for an LPN who excels in school settings and enjoys making a meaningful difference in a student’s daily life.

In this full-time assignment, you’ll play a vital role in supporting a student experiencing seizure activity and periodic behavioral challenges associated with their condition. Your assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through May 26th, 2027. Center hours are 8:00am–3:00pm, with the potential for bus riding duties depending on student placement.

Key Qualifications:

• Active LPN license in Georgia
• 3–5 years of LPN experience, specifically with school-aged students
• Proficiency in G and J Tube care, seizure management, trach care and suctioning, and VNS (Vagus Nerve Stimulation)
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to medical and behavioral emergencies
• Strong attendance record and punctuality, as prompt presence is essential for 1:1 care
• Comfortable commuting to and from the worksite within 45 minutes

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 nursing care to the student on campus and potentially during bus transport
• Monitor and respond to seizure activity and related behavioral episodes
• Collaborate with the school’s behavior team to support holistic student care
• Administer and manage prescribed treatments such as feeding tubes, VNS, and tracheostomy care
• Maintain accurate documentation and clear communication with the educational and clinical teams
