We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations for a Contract position based in Marcellus, New York. This role focuses on maintaining accurate records, assisting with invoice and payment activity, and helping keep accounting workflows organized and up to date. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with financial data, managing routine transactions, and using accounting software to ensure timely and accurate processing.

Responsibilities:
• Process incoming invoices, verify supporting details, and prepare items for payment in a timely manner.
• Record receivables activity, track outstanding balances, and help maintain accurate customer account information.
• Enter financial data into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Support day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks to keep transactions current and properly documented.
• Use QuickBooks and related tools to update records, reconcile entries, and assist with reporting needs.
• Review documentation for completeness, resolve basic discrepancies, and follow up as needed to maintain accurate files.• Experience handling accounts payable and accounts receivable activities in an office or accounting environment.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence working within accounting software platforms.
• Strong data entry skills with a consistent focus on accuracy and organization.
• Familiarity with invoice processing and routine financial record maintenance.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain dependable follow-through.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal contacts and external vendors or customers.
