Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The organization is seeking a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse for assignment at a leading medical center. The role involves providing specialized care for cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients, with a focus on advanced cardiovascular critical care in a dynamic ICU environment. Job Details Position Description: Day/Night, 12-hour shifts, working 0700-1930 or 1900-0730, with every other weekend, some holidays, no call. Will consider 4x12s scheduling if traveler prefers. Will consider blocked weekends scheduling if traveler prefers. CVICU experience required. Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required. Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred. RN license required. AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. Required Qualifications: Inpatient RN experience, at least 2 years of recent critical care in the specialty, ACLS, BLS certifications, RN license (state or compact), and adult telemetry knowledge. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiovascular intensive care and advanced life support equipment. Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours daily, minimum 36 hours per week. Additional Information: The ICU cares for adults and geriatrics, managing patients with complex cardiac conditions such as post-surgical recovery, device management, and critical illness. The unit features private rooms, interdisciplinary support, and handles both elective and emergent procedures. Certification in cardiac interpretation testing is required. The unit supports a wide range of advanced cardiovascular procedures and devices, including ECMO, Impella, IABP, LVAD, and CVVH. Traveler will be required to float as needed. Local rule: 50 miles from the facility. Submittal Requirements: Proper documentation of certifications, successful telemetry testing, and compliance with clinical criteria.
