Senior Environmental Engineer / Project Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Engineer / Project Manager to join our team and lead innovative environmental engineering projects, with a strong focus on decentralized wastewater and water management systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to independently manage engineering projects from planning through construction.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and technical documentation for municipal and private wastewater projects.
Lead and support preliminary and final engineering design for decentralized wastewater and water systems.
Evaluate and implement innovative wastewater treatment and management technologies.
Provide construction observation and engineering support during project implementation.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, municipalities, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Manage project schedules, deliverables, and technical requirements while maintaining quality standards.
Apply sound engineering judgment to develop practical and cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications
M.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience, or B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 15+ years of relevant experience.
Strong experience in environmental engineering, wastewater, water resources, or related infrastructure projects.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
AutoCAD experience required; ArcView/GIS experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage projects, work independently, and collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
