Pharmacist

Qualifications

• Active pharmacy license in the State of Illinois
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
• At least 1 year of experience working as a pharmacist in a retail setting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
• Excellent customer service and organizational abilities
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team environment
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Proficient in computer systems, including navigating databases and generating reports

Day to Day

• Perform duties in accordance with the standards of a licensed pharmacist
• Manage and support supply chain systems, including filling, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reporting within pharmacy databases and programs
• Develop, implement, and uphold procedures for the packaging and labeling of pharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with all policies and regulatory requirements, as well as proper handling and disposal
• Provide direction and oversight to pharmacy technicians, including verifying work to maintain high standards of care
• Safeguard the integrity, security, and accuracy of all drug inventory for distribution
• Ensure full compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations and all local, state, and federal laws governing pharmaceutical distribution
• Oversee inventory and supply management, ensuring necessary materials are ordered, stored, and maintained efficiently in the absence of leadership
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs within the pharmacy
• Mentor and train pharmacy students and residents through experiential learning opportunities
