IBM Sterling Commerce OMS Solution Architect

We are looking for an experienced IBM Sterling Commerce OMS Solution Architect to lead end-to-end OMS architecture, integration, and delivery for large retail and omnichannel programs Hiring: IBM Sterling Commerce OMS Solution Architect Location: Atlanta, GA / Smyrna, GA / Forest Park, GA (Onsite/Hybrid) Duration: 6 Months (Contract) Experience: 10+ Years Role Overview This role will own the solution architecture and technical delivery of IBM OMS implementations, working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and delivery partners. You will lead design, integrations, DevOps setup, and guide teams through implementation and rollout. Key Responsibilities Define end-to-end IBM OMS architecture including DOM, SIP, Logistics, Supplier Collaboration, Call Center, Store, and Reverse Logistics Drive assessments across OMS modules aligned with enterprise target architecture Design integrations with ERP, WMS, CRM, eCommerce, payment, tax, and logistics systems Prepare and review high-level and low-level design documents Lead technical design reviews and ensure alignment with business requirements Implementation & Integration Lead implementation and customization of OMS pipelines, participant models, inventory, order routing, and payments Guide integrations with internal and third-party systems Ensure scalability, security, compliance, and performance tuning Establish and govern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Technical Leadership Mentor and guide OMS development teams Provide hands-on technical support to developers, QA, and business analysts Promote agile ways of working and engineering best practices Conduct technical workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions Stakeholder Management Work closely with business leaders, product owners, and IT teams Present solution options, fit-gap analysis, and roadmaps to senior leadership Act as the primary technical point of contact across teams Delivery & Governance Lead project phases including design, build, testing, UAT, go-live, and post-production support Track IBM OMS roadmap and manage upgrades Coordinate with IBM on product issues and fixes aligned to release schedules Manage risks and ensure on-time delivery Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 15+ years of IT experience with 10+ years in IBM OMS architecture and implementation Proven experience delivering multiple IBM Sterling OMS implementations for large retailers Strong knowledge of OMS capabilities and limitations Hands-on experience with DOM, Pricing, Inventory, Call Center, Store, Supplier Collaboration Experience with NextGen OMoC 2.0 Strong expertise in Java, Angular, XML, XSLT, REST/SOAP, microservices Experience with both B2B and B2C implementations Deep understanding of order lifecycle, inventory, procurement, invoicing, payments, tax, and reverse logistics Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Experience working in agile delivery environments IBM Sterling Commerce OMS DevOps, CI/CD Good to Have IBM OMS certification(s) Performance testing and tuning experience Experience with Kafka, MQ, ELK Retail, commerce, and omnichannel domain experience Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to mentor and lead teams Clear communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders Flexible to work with US onsite teams and offshore delivery teams #J-18808-Ljbffr Intellisoft Technologies
