About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 20 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Labor and Delivery License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP Must-Have: - Ability to complete vaginal exams autonomously - Circulate and triage experience required - Only 3 call outs are allowed in a 13-week period Description: The position is in the Obstetric Emergency Department. The patient population includes neonates to adults. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience, though first-timers are accepted if they meet the experience requirement. The nurse will be expected to manage patient ratios of 1:3. The unit consists of 6 rooms with an average daily census of 15. The nurse will utilize the Epic charting system. Scrub colors are provided by the facility. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Floating within the service line to Labor and Delivery, APU, and OR is expected. The nurse must work one major holiday if it falls during the assignment period. If two major holidays are present, the nurse is expected to work both. If three major holidays occur, the nurse must work two of them. Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. Clinical screens will be done on a case-by-case basis to determine clinical fit. Locals are accepted at the same rate. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission. No time off can be requested during the orientation week. Compliance documents must be submitted timely for onboarding processes.
