Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required. License: Active Illinois license required. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required. Must-Have: Interventional cardiac cath lab experience required. Experience with circulating procedures, diagnostic catheterizations in adults, left heart catheterization, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, and right heart catheterization. Experience in procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Cerner experience required. Description: This position is for a Cath Lab RN. The shift is three days a week, from 06:30 to 19:00. The average daily census is 25 patients in a five-room unit. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in a cath lab setting. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend work is required, with 2-3 weekends expected per contract. On-call duties are required as needed. Candidates should discuss scheduling requests with the manager. The client may cancel up to 36 hours per assignment without compensation for those hours. If candidates are put on call instead of being canceled, that will count as a canceled shift. The ideal candidate must be able to float within the scope of work to meet facility needs. The position requires the candidate to work 2 of the 3 major holidays. Background check findings must be disclosed for review and approval. References may be pending at the time of application. Candidates must confirm that they understand the role requirements and are committed to completing compliance requirements in a timely manner. This is an acute care hospital setting, classified as a Level I trauma center. The facility is recognized as a Magnet hospital. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
