NIGHT SHIFT - TRUCK DRIVER (NON-CDL) - THOMPSON HARDWOODS INC

THOMPSON HARDWOODS INCHAZLEHURST, GAWe are seeking an experienced Log Yard Truck Driver to operate log trucks within our sawmill facility. This position is responsible for transporting logs safely and efficiently throughout the yard to support mill operations. A CDL is not required; however, prior experience operating log trucks is mandatory.THIS IS AN HOURLY POSITIONKey Responsibilities:Operate log trucks within the sawmill yard to transport logs to designated areasSafely maneuver in tight spaces around equipment, log decks, and other vehiclesAssist with staging and organizing logs for productionConduct pre-shift inspections of equipment and report maintenance issuesFollow all yard traffic patterns and safety regulationsCommunicate with loaders, operators, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflowMaintain a clean and safe work environmentQualifications:Previous experience driving log trucks requiredCDL not required (position operates within yard only)Strong understanding of log yard safety practicesAbility to operate equipment safely in a fast-paced industrial environmentDependable with strong attendance recordAbility to follow directions and work as part of a teamWork Environment:Outdoor log yard settingExposure to varying weather conditionsHigh-noise industrial environmentPhysical Requirements:Ability to climb in and out of truck multiple times per shiftAbility to sit for extended periods while operating equipmentMust be able to work safely around heavy machinery #J-18808-Ljbffr THOMPSON HARDWOODS INC
