- Conducting thorough patient assessments, recommending diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses independently, or in collaboration with physicians (based on your credentials)
- Providing education to patients and families regarding prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapies within your practice zone
- Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic care
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enable seamless and holistic patient care
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records within electronic medical systems (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Hawaii
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or relevant specialty equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong clinical skills paired with a compassionate communication style
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with patients, families, and clinical staff
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
- Proficiency in EMR systems and comfort with telehealth technology
