We are currently recruiting for one 3rd shift Lead 10:00pm-6:30am shift Job Summary Under general direction from the Product Control Manager, the Night Shift Working Lead will supervise employees in the processing areas working a night shift. The Lead will ensure production activities continue during the night shifts, to meet throughput, quality, and cost goals while maintaining a positive and safe work environment for all employees. The areas of responsibility are Wax, Shell, Casting, Rough Clean, Finishing, X-ray and NDT. This person has responsibility to continue to produce and train in the home department they are assigned while being the point of contact for employees’ questions concerning safety, emergency departures, and maintenance concerns. The supervisor will also be responsible for walking the facility at least two times a night and checking that all employees are well, safe and performing their departments tasks. Requirements Job Specific Requirements Monitor employees’ adherence to all company and equipment safety policies and procedures. Train employees in assigned home area on Tech Cards and Department Procedures and ensure they follow the instructions as described. Inform Production Control Manager of any disciplinary action that may be needed. Work collaboratively with employees, quality, engineering, and management in suggesting and/or implementing new manufacturing practices and procedures. Suggest/implement new workspace layouts, manufacturing practices, and equipment setups. Inform Product Control Manager of any area’s short-term needs in terms of labor, equipment and supplies. Monitor supplies and consumables inventory and inform Department Supervisor of home area as needed. Be responsible for suggesting and implementing improvements in the specific areas of responsibility as it relates to workflow, quality, and/or cost reduction. Ensure handoff to next shift is communicated so production can continue without delays or confusion. Job Qualifications 1-3 years’ experience as a supervisor/lead operator or similar in a manufacturing environment that involves processes of extreme temperatures/pressures or similar duration and experience type with NDT, X-ray processes that are equipment intensive and have a mix of manual and automated processes. Have computer skills with the ability to complete basic Excel spreadsheets/charts, Word documentation and PowerPoint slides. Maintain excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability in appropriate handling of HR and personnel issues. Familiarity with the use of MRP and scheduling software and associated reports is preferred. Lead by example and coach, mentor and demonstrate a concrete desire to maintain focus on completion of production requirements. Can interact effectively with internal and external customers/suppliers promoting a team environment. Physical Requirements Able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time. Able to lift 20 lbs. Read, write and speak English fluently. Summary Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
