Responsibilities The Manager, Data & Organizational Learning leads TSNE’s efforts to strengthen data systems, reporting, and learning practices that support program quality, service delivery, and day‑to‑day decision‑making. Reporting to the Chief Program & Impact Officer, this role oversees Salesforce administration and related systems, supports dashboard and reporting development, and partners across teams to improve data quality and organizational effectiveness. Working closely with the Director of Data & Business Intelligence, the Manager of Learning & Evaluation, and other teams, this role develops processes and tools that support learning, shared data standards, and helps staff use data more consistently and effectively. This role serves as a bridge between systems administration, reporting, and organizational learning, helping TSNE translate data into stronger services, better planning, and more informed decisions. Essential Functions Data Systems & Salesforce Administration - 35% Lead day‑to‑day administration of Salesforce and related data systems, including configuration of objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, permissions, flows, reports, and dashboards. Partner with the Director of Data & Business Intelligence to support systems that strengthen data collection, reporting, analytics, and knowledge management practices across the organization. Support data governance, privacy, user access, and internal control practices related to Salesforce and connected systems. Coordinate and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other organizational systems, including system documentation, process maps, and user guidance materials. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve usability, reduce manual work, and strengthen staff experience with systems and data tools. Manage consultants, vendors, or temporary support related to data projects as needed. Data and Analytics - 25% Develop and maintain dashboards, KPI tracking tools, and reports for the Chief Program & Impact Officer, Executive Team, Board, department leaders, and other stakeholders. Support creation of shared data definitions, reporting standards, and dashboard practices to improve consistency and reliability across teams. Review and refine existing reports and dashboards to improve usability, streamline reporting processes, and retire outdated or duplicative products. Monitor and analyze trends related to program quality, service utilization, client feedback, equity impacts, and organizational priorities, and surface findings that support planning and continuous improvement. Support preparation of internal reports, funder reports, presentations, and other materials that communicate findings clearly and accessibly. Organizational Learning and Evaluation – 25% In partnership with the Manager of Learning & Evaluation, support program and department leaders in identifying practical measures of success for programs, services, and cross‑functional initiatives. Collaborate on evaluation and learning processes that support organizational reflection, continuous improvement, and equity‑centered decision‑making. Support development and implementation of practical mixed‑methods tools and feedback processes, including surveys, assessments, interview or focus group protocols, and other learning approaches. Analyze quantitative and qualitative findings to identify patterns, opportunities, and operational insights that support program and organizational learning. Support development of assessment reports, internal learning products, and related materials that communicate findings clearly and accessibly. Help ensure data and learning practices remain practical, equity‑centered, and aligned with TSNE’s mission, values, and theory of change. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Training - 15% Partner with teams across service lines and departments to support system adoption, reporting practices, and effective use of organizational data tools. Develop and facilitate staff training related to Salesforce, dashboards, reporting tools, data entry standards, and data‑use practices. Support change management and adoption efforts for new systems, reporting processes, and data practices, helping staff build confidence and consistency over time. Collaborate with Data & Business Intelligence, Learning & Evaluation, Communications, Finance & Operations, and other teams to support aligned data, reporting, and learning practices across the organization. Track workplans, priorities, and progress related to data systems, reporting initiatives, and organizational learning goals. Complete other tasks and projects related to the position, as needed. Required At least 6 years of progressive experience in Salesforce administration, data systems, analytics, learning and evaluation, or related work, including at least 3 years administering Salesforce, preferably in the nonprofit, philanthropic, education, or social impact sector. Strong knowledge of the Salesforce data model, user security, automation, data management, reporting, and integrations. Experience building and maintaining dashboards, reports, and other data visualization tools for a range of internal stakeholders. Experience designing or supporting mixed‑methods data collection and analysis, including work with both quantitative and qualitative data. Ability to translate business, program, and reporting needs into practical systems, measures, and workflows. Experience facilitating staff learning sessions, reflective practice, or other group processes that help teams interpret and use data. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and support work across teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly to non‑technical audiences and synthesize data for internal and external use. Demonstrated commitment to racial equity, social justice, and inclusive practice. Experience working collaboratively with people of diverse backgrounds, identities, and perspectives. Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and care. Preferred Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM 201) or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, or comparable CRM environments. Experience with system integrations, APIs, and related data tools. Experience supporting organization‑wide data governance, shared definitions, or trusted reporting practices. Experience partnering with communications, fundraising, or executive leadership teams on impact reporting and storytelling. Experience with human‑centered design, participatory evaluation, or other equity‑centered research and learning practices. Experience working with or within BIPOC‑led, BIPOC‑serving, or under‑resourced community‑based organizations. Demonstrate cultural awareness and some understanding of fostering an inclusive, culturally sensitive, environment. Willing to ask questions, learn, and constructively share and accept feedback. Must be adaptable to a range of audiences and dynamics. Just do good work by providing high quality work in fast‑paced environment. Strong analytical skills are necessary. Must be flexible and able to manage multiple changing priorities and projects, and be organized and detail oriented. Provide excellent customer service by being on‑time and accurate. Physical Demands/Work Environment The physical demands described for this position are that of a typical office environment. Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time in front of a computer screen is an essential aspect of the position. There may be a need to lift and/or move materials or equipment. Location: Work will be performed between our office located at the NonProfit Center at 89 South Street, Suite 700, Boston, MA 02111 and your home office. This position is required to be on‑site occasionally with notice several times throughout the year. Schedule : This position is full‑time at 37.5 hours per week and hours are flexible within reason. Compensation and Benefits Compensation: The salary for this position is $124,507.50 annually, paid bi‑weekly at $4,788.75 Benefits: This position is eligible for a full benefits package including: Generous Paid‑Time‑Off (PTO): twelve paid holidays, three weeks of vacation, one week of personal holiday, and ability to accrue up to 487.5 hours of health leave time for benefited staff. 80% Employer‑paid, offering some $0 deductible Health Insurance through Harvard Pilgrim along with several low‑deductible plans; Low‑cost Harvard Pilgrim/Point32Health Dental and Vision. Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for Health and Dependent Care. Employer‑paid Life, Long‑and Short‑Term Disability Insurance. Employer‑paid Pension and Employee‑paid 403b plan through TIAA. Up to $1,080.00 in annual commuter subsidy $10 monthly cell phone stipend.
