SAW OPERATOR

Description To be able to cut material as specified by the saw list within the given time with accuracy. Cut materials as specified by the saw list. Keep an updated materials and supply inventory. Perform maintenance on equipment or machinery as required. Inform supervisor if equipment or machinery fails or requires repairs beyond capabilities. Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job. Education Must be a high school graduate or have a GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Maintains basic use and applications skills for shop math. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
