The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care, coordinates care planning with other disciplines, and ensures optimal patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical skills, compassion, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*** Deliver direct patient care, including assessments, monitoring, and documentation.* Accurately triage patients and respond to emergent situations.* Administer medications and IV therapies safely and effectively.* Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.* Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow‐up care.* Supervise and orient Emergency Department Technicians and new staff.* Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices.* Participate in performance improvement initiatives and provide quarterly updates on departmental action plans.* Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and respect for diverse patient needs.**COMPENSATION:** $40.00 per hour + Shift Differential (Weekday Night: $3.00 per hour; Weekend: $4.00 per hour)**SCHEDULE:** As Needed **BENEFITS*** 403(b) Retirement Plan* Paid Leave for All Workers Act Leave (1 hour for every 40 hours worked)**WHAT FMH HAS TO OFFER** Fairfield Memorial Hospital is a mission focused critical access hospital dedicated to providing exceptional care to the patients and families we serve, with a strong commitment to improving the health and well‐being of our community through compassionate service, clinical excellence, and a supportive culture that empowers employees to do their best work. We proudly uphold Equal Opportunity Employment practices and welcome applicants of all backgrounds without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status.## Qualifications**EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS*** **Required:** Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois, Current BLS Certification.* **Other:** ACLS certification within 3 months of hire; PALS certification within 6 months of hire; TNCC or TNS certification within one year of hire; Minimum of 8 hours of pediatric education every 2 years.**EXPERIENCE*** **Required:** Minimum of three (3) years RN experience.* **Preferred:** Minimum of 18 months of acute/critical care or Emergency Department experience.**SKILLS*** Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations* Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, triage, IV therapy, and emergency procedures* Strong documentation, communication, and patient/family education skills* Ability to collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams* Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and departmental standards
