Skycap Roofing & Remodeling is expanding throughout the Kansas City market and is looking for motivated, competitive, and self-directed 1099 Outside Exterior Sales Consultants .

This is an independent contractor sales opportunity , not a salaried or hourly employee position.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop your own customer base, generate new business, meet with homeowners, inspect exterior systems, present solutions, and earn commission on the projects you sell.

There is no salary and no artificial cap on your earning potential.

If you're comfortable talking to people, willing to generate business, and know how to ask for the sale, we want to talk to you.

Roofing experience is NOT required. Sales experience is strongly preferred.

We can provide the resources to learn roofing and exterior systems. You bring the drive.

WHAT YOU CAN SELL

• Other exterior improvement projects offered by Skycap

More services create more opportunities to provide solutions to property owners and generate commissions.

WHAT THE OPPORTUNITY LOOKS LIKE

As an independent Outside Exterior Sales Consultant, you'll develop and manage your own sales pipeline while utilizing Skycap's estimating, production, and project-management resources for projects sold through the company.

Typical sales activities may include:

• Generating business through prospecting, networking, referrals, canvassing, and other independently developed opportunities
• Following up with company-provided opportunities when available
• Meeting with homeowners and property owners
• Performing roofing and exterior inspections
• Identifying storm damage, deterioration, and exterior improvement opportunities
• Photographing and documenting property conditions
• Discussing potential repair and replacement options
• Presenting Skycap proposals, products, upgrades, and available solutions
• Following up with prospective customers
• Negotiating and closing projects
• Assisting customers with the contractor side of insurance restoration projects when applicable
• Participating in adjuster meetings when appropriate
• Maintaining required customer and project documentation within Skycap's CRM
• Obtaining signed contracts, deposits, selections, and required project information
• Coordinating project information with Skycap's estimating and production teams
• Developing referral relationships and repeat business
• Professionally representing Skycap when conducting business under the Skycap name

Previous sales experience and the ability to build relationships, prospect, communicate, and close business can transfer extremely well into exterior sales.

COMPENSATION

Estimated Annual Earnings: $75,000–$150,000+

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity with commission-based compensation.

There is:

• No hourly wage
• No guaranteed salary
• No guaranteed minimum compensation
• No artificial commission ceiling

Compensation is based on projects sold and the applicable independent contractor compensation agreement.

Individual earnings vary based on sales volume, project profitability, market conditions, individual performance, and other factors.

Specific commission structure, payment procedures, and project requirements will be reviewed during the contractor onboarding process and documented in the Independent Contractor Agreement.

Availability of company-generated opportunities is not guaranteed.

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR STRUCTURE

This opportunity is structured as a 1099 independent contractor relationship .

Independent contractors are responsible for managing their own sales activity, prospecting efforts, schedule, transportation, and business expenses except where otherwise specifically agreed in writing.

Contractors are responsible for their own federal, state, and local tax obligations and do not receive employee benefits through Skycap unless specifically required by applicable law.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

To effectively perform exterior sales activities, candidates should have:

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Smartphone
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers
• Ability to use email, mobile applications, CRM software, and digital documents
• Ability to safely perform exterior property inspections
• Ability to access roofing systems when appropriate and safely possible
• Comfort working outdoors and traveling throughout their chosen sales territory
• Ability to independently manage appointments, prospects, and customer follow-up

Sales experience is preferred, but roofing experience is not required.
