Medical Assistant – Pain Management
Schedule: 5 x 8, Days
Requirements:
- Required Experience: 1 year (2 years in some fields listed)
- Certifications: MA-C, BLS
- EMR: Epic
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain vital signs (height, weight, pulse oximetry).
- Collect and label specimens, including urine analysis (UA) and point-of-care testing (POCT Utox).
- Document patient information and chart in Epic.
- Assist with scheduling and insurance verification as needed.
- Answer provider pools and manage follow-up calls.
- Maintain clinic workflows and assist in stocking supplies.
Compliance / Notes:
- References: 2 required covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
- Mandatory training modules must be completed pre-start and annually; average ~16 hours.
- Travel compliance applies.
