What You'll Do

As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced life support care, assess patient needs, and safely transport patients while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and customer service.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing emergency and non-emergency patient care and transportation
• Assessing, treating, and monitoring patients in accordance with established protocols
• Administering medications and advanced clinical interventions within scope of practice
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals, first responders, and receiving facilities
• Completing accurate and timely patient care documentation
• Maintaining ambulance readiness, cleanliness, and equipment accountability
• Ensuring compliance with all safety, operational, and clinical standards
• Participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities

Clinical Environment

Team members may have opportunities to care for a diverse patient population, including:

• Emergency and urgent patient transports
• Interfacility transfers
• Critical care transports
• Hospital discharges and specialty patient movements

• Electronic patient care reporting (ePCR)

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current Texas Paramedic certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

Preferred:

• PALS certification (or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe)
• Previous EMS or critical care transport experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment safely, with or without assistance
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing
• Ability to work in varying environmental and weather conditions
• Ability to perform duties in high-stress and physically demanding situations
