Summary of Job Duties:
The social work intern will work on grants and contracts within Dr. Melissa Zielinski's HEALS Lab. Activities will be driven by an individual development plan constructed with the Social Work Intern and her supervisors but may include any/all of the following: individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, brief interventions, interviews, assessments, and psychoeducational groups. Time will also be spent in preparation for clients, client related paperwork, reviewing sessions, team or staff meetings, outreach, continuing education, and supervision. Activities may occur on site at UAMS, on-site at HEALS partners such as the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility, and/or virtually.
