Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:30–08:00) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled | Expected 36 Hours/Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care across all patient age groups, including presentations such as chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, respiratory illness, and respiratory arrest
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower-acuity patient groups, within a 46-bed Emergency Department averaging a daily census of 140
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Belmont rapid infuser in trauma, Giraffe warmer for neonates, and Lucas device for cardiac arrests
• Document accurately using the EPIC electronic charting system
• Float within the Emergency Department specialty as needed
• Adhere to scheduling requirements including every-other-weekend and holiday coverage as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact License at time of submission
• BLS certification – American Heart Association only
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
• PALS certification – American Heart Association only
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI certification required – The Calm Every Storm online version is currently the only acceptable online vendor
• TNCC certification required
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room RN experience required; first-time travelers with 5+ years of experience may be considered
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers with 5+ years of experience may be considered
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must maintain a permanent address of 50 or more miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with high-acuity emergency presentations including trauma, cardiac arrest, and stroke
• Familiarity with specialized emergency equipment such as Belmont infusers, Lucas devices, and neonatal warmers
• Comfort floating within scope across emergency department areas with no restrictions
