Senior Payroll Administrator

We are partnering with a growing organization in North Nashville seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll professional with strong expertise in multi-state payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, and process improvement initiatives . You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations while helping enhance efficiencies across processes. Key Responsibilities Process end-to-end payroll for multi-state employee populations on a weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly basis Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations , including filings, reconciliations, and year-end reporting (W-2s, etc.) Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, tax issues, and employee inquiries with a high level of professionalism Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity within the payroll system Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure seamless payroll operations Lead and support process improvement initiatives , identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and reduce manual processes Assist with payroll audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies Stay informed on evolving payroll laws and regulations across multiple states Qualifications 3+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processing Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements Experience handling complex payroll scenarios (e.g., multi-entity, high-volume, or multi-state environments) Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements within payroll operations Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG, or similar) High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and organizational skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally Job Location In-office Benefits Benefit offerings include PTO, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and 401K plan.
