Pastry Assistant (Food Services) POSITION OVERVIEW The Pastry Assistant works under the supervision of the Pastry Chef and Culinary Director to create a variety of desserts and baked goods, as well as plated desserts for weddings and corporate events. The Pastry Assistant will work creatively as part of a team within a fast-paced work environment while strictly adhering to established sanitation and safety standards. Hours are flexible Weekend availability required Eligible for 401K match, health benefits, parking, vacation time, paid holidays KEY RESPONSIBILITES Duties may include, but are not limited to: High volume production Meet production schedules and deadlines Produce and assemble desserts; create custards, buttercream, various bites, tarts, cookies, pate a choux, French macarons Produce breads, ice cream and sorbet Gluten free, dairy free and vegan desserts Prepare desserts for weekly wedding tastings Keep pastry shop clean and organized Pay close attention to supplies and equipment, informing the pastry chef of any foreseeable shortages or issues Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and PPHG requirement Transfer/drive desserts to venues #J-18808-Ljbffr
