Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years in CVICU/ICU/PCU License: RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - 2 years of telemetry experience - Epic charting experience Description: The position requires a skilled nurse to provide care in a cardiovascular intensive care unit. The unit cares for patients 16 years and older with primary cardiac diagnoses, including heart failure and post-cardiac arrest. Nurses must be experienced in handling cases related to cardiothoracic surgery, IABP therapy, and various cardiac interventions. Strong cardiovascular experience is essential. The multidisciplinary team is focused on providing exceptional patient care. Nurses will receive specialty training tailored to the cardiac patient population. The unit recognizes the importance of advanced certification and encourages professional development. A training program is available that covers a range of cardiovascular intensive care topics. This includes advanced technologies such as continuous renal replacement therapy and targeted temperature management. Nurses must be prepared to float to other units or facilities as required. Refusal to float may lead to contract termination. Candidates with background hits must provide a detailed written statement. This position is not eligible for former employees who have been separated for less than six months.
