Landscape Supervisor

North Scottsdale Area | Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity An established residential landscape and property service company in the North Scottsdale area is looking for an experienced Landscape Supervisor. This position is for someone who knows landscaping, understands irrigation and plant material, communicates well with customers, and takes pride in making sure properties are cared for the right way. This is a hands-on position with significant independence and responsibility. We aren't looking for someone who simply drives from property to property checking on crews. We need someone who can recognize a problem, understand what needs to be done, communicate with the customer, make repairs when appropriate, and follow through until the issue is resolved. Meeting with customers and walking their properties Building strong, professional relationships with customers Inspecting properties and identifying areas that need attention Communicating customer requests and concerns to our office and crews Diagnosing irrigation problems and personally completing irrigation repairs Troubleshooting and repairing valves, drip systems, emitters, irrigation lines, and controllers Locating leaks and determining the cause of irrigation problems Identifying watering issues and making appropriate irrigation adjustments Identifying plant-health problems and determining whether irrigation may be contributing to the issue Having a strong working knowledge of Arizona and desert plant material Recommending appropriate plants based on location, sun exposure, watering needs, and existing landscape Understanding proper plant installation, including placement, irrigation, and establishment Helping oversee and, when necessary, working alongside crews on plant installations Identifying dead, declining, or improperly located plants Helping coordinate plant replacements and landscape improvements Checking the quality of work performed by our landscape crews Working with crew leads to correct problems and maintain our standards Clearly documenting needed work, materials, and property concerns for our office and crews Following through to make sure customer concerns and property issues are resolved Many of our customers have trusted us with their properties for years. This position will be one of the people representing our company directly to those customers. We want someone who listens, communicates honestly, follows through, and understands that taking care of the property and taking care of the relationship go together. When a customer trusts us with their property, we take that responsibility seriously. A knowledgeable supervisor should also recognize when a property needs an irrigation repair, plant replacement, new installation, or other landscape improvement and be able to explain what they see and what they recommend. WHAT LEADERSHIP MEANS TO US A good supervisor should make the people around them better. That means working with our crew leads, helping solve problems, communicating expectations, and holding the quality of our work to a high standard. If something isn't right, we don't want someone who simply points it out. We want someone who takes ownership and helps get it corrected. #J-18808-Ljbffr
