Family Nurse Practitioner

Monte Nido & Affiliates, LLC seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive medical and psychiatric support to adolescents and adults in eating disorder treatment. The FNP will conduct assessments, manage medical complications, prescribe and monitor medications, and collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, dietitians, and nursing staff. Responsibilities include care planning, medical education, crisis intervention, and documentation. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive medical and psychiatric assessments for adolescents and adults with eating disorders Manage medical complications related to eating disorders, including monitoring vitals, labs, and nutritional status Prescribe, adjust, and monitor psychotropic and medical medications in collaboration with psychiatry Develop and update individualized treatment and care plans with the multidisciplinary team Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatment options, and safety planning Participate in case conferences, rounds, and coordination with therapists, dietitians, and nursing staff Respond to medical and psychiatric crises, ensuring appropriate escalation and level-of-care decisions Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocols, and outcome monitoring Engage in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development in eating disorder and psychiatric care Core Competencies Clinical assessment and diagnosis Eating disorder medical management Psychopharmacology Care planning and coordination Electronic Health Records (EHR) Lab interpretation and medical monitoring Crisis assessment and intervention Patient and family education Interdisciplinary collaboration Documentation and regulatory compliance Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Requirements Current unrestricted RN and NP license National board certification as an FNP (e.g., AANP or ANCC) Prescriptive authority/DEA registration per state requirements BLS certification; ACLS preferred Experience in behavioral health or eating disorder settings preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr iaedp
