Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Lansing, Michigan.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 15 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 15 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Emergency Department position requiring an active MI license and prior Level I trauma experience.Details\n \n Level I Trauma Center with Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department designations\n General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric populations\n Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00am-7:30pm\n Currently experiencing high patient ratios of 1:5-6, with potential to reach 1:8 depending on patient volume and holidays\n Required to work 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 4-week schedule, potentially 1-3 days each weekend\n Floating to Pediatrics possible\n No on-call requirements\n Uses Epic charting system\n Requirements\n \n Active MI RN license required by start date (compact license not accepted)\n Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)\n ENPC certification preferred\n Minimum 2 years of RN experience required\n Level I Trauma Center experience required\n Prior travel nursing experience preferred\n Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required\n Epic EMR charting experience required\n Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration preferred\n Triage experience preferred\n Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and central line care preferred\n Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and interpretation of ABGs preferred\n Proof of high school level education required\n Additional Information\n \n Provide emergency care across a wide range of trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric cases including gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, CVA, and head injuries\n Certifications must be active and may not pend beyond the contract start date\n Complete pre-start training modules prior to beginning the assignment\n Epic EMR training provided during orientation\n First-time travelers may be considered for this position\n Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates\n Returning staff members must wait 12 months after departure before reapplying\n RTO must be submitted at time of application, with a 5-day maximum RTO policy per assignment\n No RTO permitted on 10/31 or 12/18-12/28\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-755818.
