Position Title: Head of Concessions
Reports To: Activities Director
Position Summary: Organizing all aspects of the two concession stands including but not limited to purchasing food and supplies, cleaning and maintaining equipment, cash and credit card handling, p-card reconciliation, working with club/sport workers, and making sure the stand runs smoothly for a variety of events. Qualifications Organizational skills, money handling and food preparation experience helpful but not required. General Expectations
Work Schedule Set by the Director of Student Activities.
Evaluation Performance will be evaluated annually by the [Activities Director/Principal] in accordance with district policies.

- Attendance and Supervision

- Take accurate attendance whenever your club or activity meets (i.e. practices, meetings, and competitions). Submit attendance records as required by the district.
- Communicate and implement the school and district activities attendance rules and regulations.
- Ensure all participants are properly supervised at all times, maintaining a safe and organized environment.
- Eligibility Requirements

- Communicate academic, attendance, and behavioral eligibility standards throughout the season/year.
- Monitor eligibility data, enforce eligibility consequences, and provide support to students who do not meet eligibility standards.
- Program Communication and Documentation

- Distribute and review program rules, expectations, and schedules with students at the start of each year.
- Maintain clear, timely communication with students, families, and administration.
- Manage all official activity program-related social media accounts in accordance with district and school policies. Policy 5-125 Personal Technology and Social Media: Usage and Conduct (5-125 AP1 Accepted Platforms, Compliance with the First Amendment, the Local Records Act, Transitions in Account Management; 5-125-AP2 Approved Electronic Communications Methods)
- Budget, Equipment & Inventory Management

- Manage and monitor the club or activity budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking purchases, managing donations, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all spending aligns with the school and district policies and club or activity needs.
- Monitor and manage fundraising efforts for the club or activity by securing approval through the Activities Department, coordinating campaigns, tracking progress, and ensuring compliance with school and district regulations.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all equipment and uniforms/apparel, if applicable.
- Purchase equipment and uniforms/apparel, as necessary, in collaboration with the Activities Department
- Ensure proper distribution, care, and collection of equipment before and after each season/year.
- Report damaged or missing equipment promptly to the Activities Director.
- Ensure all equipment is stored securely and in accordance with district guidelines.
- Ensure any equipment stored in "common storage areas" are neatly returned to designated areas within the space. Common storage areas are to be kept neat.

- Model and promote positive behavior, integrity, and respect for all participants, advisors, opponents, and audience members in club and activity settings.

- Address any inappropriate or disrespectful behavior promptly and fairly to maintain a positive and inclusive environment.
- Injury Management, Emergency Action Plans, and Accommodations

- Work in collaboration with the school nurses, athletic trainers, and athletic department to understand and implement athletes' emergency action plan and complete related trainings (including but not limited to seizures, asthma, allergies and diabetes)
- Engage in all required injury prevention and response training per the IHSA and school/district requirements (including but not limited to CPR, AED and concussion), if applicable
- Work in collaboration with the school nurses and athletic trainers to report and address student injuries
- Implement student accommodations (per an IEP or 504 plan), as applicable
- Leadership, Growth and Relationships

- Develop student leaders by providing guidance, leadership training, and opportunities for responsibility to enhance their skills and confidence.
- Engage in professional development aligned with your club or activity to support the growth of students and the program.
- Cultivate and strengthen meaningful, positive connections through every interaction within the school community and the wider community.
- Responsible for maintaining clean and organized stands, which includes:

- Opening the stand before every event

- having cash box and credit card equipment up to date and ready
- starting up all equipment and starting hot foods
- putting out snacks for display
- supervising club/sport working the stand and teaching students/staff money and food handling
- During event

- Oversee continual preparation of hot foods
- Restock items as they are depleted
- Oversee the cash supply
- Assist in technical issues using the iPads
- At the end of the event:

- Put everything away and cleaning
- Restock coolers
- Count cash box and drop deposit in the bookstore drop box.
- Maintain equipment, report any broken equipment or need of repair
- Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies
- Maintain receipts of all purchases
- Process P-Card entries in Skyward
Work Schedule Set by the Director of Student Activities.
- Football games, usually 4-5 games, additionally there may be playoff games
- Girls and Boys Basketball games, additionally there may be playoff games
- Occasionally we have a Boys Wrestling Regionals or Sectionals
- Open the stand usually about 1.5 hours before the first game. Sell through half time of the last game. After closing, cleaning usually takes about an hour.
