The Overview

In this role, you'll anchor the finance function for a growing manufacturing operation, serving as a hands-on partner to both the commercial and operations groups with the goal of lifting overall business performance. That means getting deep into product costs and margins, then translating those numbers into insight that moves results. Beyond the analysis, you'll sit on the site's leadership team while also owning the everyday accounting work and the monthly close.

The Role

You'll work side by side with the Operations Manager, delivering daily, weekly, and monthly performance reporting and analysis pinpointing what's driving product and service profitability, flagging opportunities, and helping the team decide what to tackle first. Expect to lead and rally the business around shared financial targets. You'll build and review the monthly financials, apply the right accounting principles and internal policy, and make sure every deliverable lands on time and accurately. Setting and enforcing accounting policy falls to you, including the discipline standards for the balance sheet and broader controllership. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations are yours, as is protecting assets and managing working capital through well-designed controls over inventory accuracy and valuation. You'll own the standard cost system too costing new items daily and running the yearly standards refresh from start to finish. New capital requests will cross your desk for review and analysis, and you'll appraise property or equipment tied to sales, purchases, or tax needs. Keeping stated inventory values honest is part of the mandate: you'll back the cycle count process and play a lead role in coordinating the accounting side of the annual physical inventory when it comes up. Inventory work extends to balance reconciliation and calculating excess and obsolete reserves. You'll support financial audits as they arise, sustain a strong internal control environment with company-wide compliance, and hold yourself and the team to the highest ethical bar.

To be a fit, bring an Accounting degree and/or CPA, along with at least seven years of increasingly senior accounting and leadership experience. You'll also want seven years of accounting under your belt in a vertically integrated manufacturing setting, four of those in a cost-focused position. A solid command of GAAP is a must, Oracle experience is a strong plus, and we're looking for standout communication, real business acumen, sharp analytical instincts, fluency across operations and commercial topics, a controllership mindset, and a genuine sense of ownership.
