Overview National Medical Staffing Solutions is currently sourcing a skilled Step Down Registered Nurse with strong neuro experience. This role requires expertise in managing patients transitioning from critical care, with a focus on neurological conditions such as stroke, seizures, and post-neurosurgical recovery. Ideal candidates bring clinical precision, strong assessment skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Key Responsibilities Monitor and assess patients in a step down/telemetry setting Provide specialized care for patients with neurological conditions Interpret and respond to changes in patient status, including neuro assessments Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes Maintain accurate and timely documentation Requirements Active RN license (state-specific or compact) Minimum 2 years of Step Down, Progressive Care (PCU), or Telemetry experience Strong neuro experience required (stroke, TBI, seizures, post-neurosurgical care) BLS and ACLS certifications required NIH Stroke Certification preferred (NIHSS) Experience with cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Work Environment Fast-paced step down unit with a focus on patient-centered care Opportunities for professional growth and development #J-18808-Ljbffr
