Job Summary

We are seeking a Banker/Teller for a direct hire opportunity in Petaluma, CA. This role may be aligned as a Client Service Representative II, Client Service Representative III, or Senior Client Service Representative based on experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a banking professional who enjoys building client relationships, opening new accounts, processing teller transactions, and recommending financial products that support customer needs. Key Responsibilities

- Open, maintain, and close consumer accounts, business accounts, CDs, IRAs, and other account types based on experience level.
- Process teller transactions accurately while maintaining an excellent balancing record.
- Interview and profile clients to recommend appropriate banking products and services.
- Cross-sell bank products, generate referrals, and partner with internal teams to support branch goals.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, approved, uploaded, and compliant with bank procedures and applicable regulations.
- Provide professional, courteous service to clients in person and by phone while resolving questions or concerns with tact and diplomacy.

- Minimum of 1 year of banking teller experience for CSR II level.
- Minimum of 2 years of banking teller experience for CSR III level.
- Minimum of 3 years of banking teller experience for Senior CSR III level.
- Experience opening consumer accounts is required.
- Experience opening basic business accounts is required for CSR III and preferred for CSR II.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Open and support new consumer and business accounts based on assigned CSR level.
- Process teller transactions, account maintenance, client inquiries, and required documentation.
- Cross-sell banking products and refer clients to appropriate internal partners.
- Support compliance with banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act requirements.

- Advanced experience opening consumer accounts and complex business accounts is required for Senior CSR III level.
- Working knowledge of basic banking regulations such as BSA and Information Security.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking software programs.
- Strong customer relations skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and team members.
- Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Positive, cooperative, and service-focused approach to client interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior supervisory experience is preferred for Senior CSR III level.
- Experience supporting Treasury Services such as RDC, armored service, or courier service is helpful for senior-level consideration.
- Experience processing banking reports such as currency transactions, returned items, overdrafts, or callbacks is preferred.
- Ability to support branch leadership with overrides, large transaction approvals, and escalated client situations is preferred for senior-level candidates.
