Job Description

Seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist to join an established inpatient behavioral health team in southeastern Alabama within a large regional referral hospital system providing comprehensive adult psychiatric care in a multidisciplinary setting.

Practice Highlights:

• Inpatient psychiatry only
• Collaborative team model with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, counselors, and social workers
• Structured staffing model: 4 psychiatrists across 2 teams (2 per team)
• Block schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off
• Shared after-hours call during each rotation
• Dedicated programs for intensive treatment and mood & anxiety disorders
• 25+bed behavioral health unit
• Internal Medicine Hospitalist group manages medical care of Psychiatric inpatients
• Opportunity to precept medical students and residents
