Job description:
Destination Kia in Albany, NY is seeking a full-time Parts Counterperson to join our team... Compensation is a combination of a weekly salary and monthly bonus. This is a great opportunity to work in a busy parts department of a family-owned business, with plenty of room for growth.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assisting customers and technicians in the selection of required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Informing customer and selling companion part requirements and specials.
- Answering phone calls to provide quotes and customer inquiries.
- Assists outside sales representatives with their orders.
- Setting up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up with a a great degree of accuracy..
- Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required.
- Replenishing and tracking inventory.
- Issues and tracks requested shop tools to technicians.
- Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
- Keeping current on new products and product updates.
- Keeps orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special-order parts.
- Participates with the parts manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in an automotive parts department
- 1-3 years of sales experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills and great telephone etiquette
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Detail Orientated, able to Read and Enter codes into the Computer
- Proficient in Automotive/Parts Software systems is highly desired.
