Corporate Controller

The Controller oversees accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance for a growing multi-location retail organization. Reporting to the CFO, this role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial information while building scalable processes that support continued expansion. Key Responsibilities- Lead period end closes; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Manage all accounting operations: general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and revenue recognition
- Establish and maintain internal controls; coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
- Support CFO in annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow monitoring; analyze budget-vs-actual variances
- Partner with Operations to monitor store-level profitability, labor costs, COGS/margin trends, and expense management
- Lead ERP/financial system improvements; standardize and automate accounting processes across locations
- Support financial integration of new and acquired locations
- Lead, develop, and set performance expectations for the accounting team
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred
- 8-12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including Controller or senior accounting leadership
- Strong GAAP knowledge; experience with multi-location retail, automotive, or service environments preferred
- Proven ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
- High integrity, strong analytical and organizational skills
