Posted 2 days ago Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring ACLS and NIHSS certifications with charge and precepting responsibilities. Details 18-bed Intermediate Neurosciences & ENT Unit within a hospital setting Cares for stroke, tumors, epilepsy, spine injury, neuromuscular and neurodegenerative conditions, neurotrauma, CNS infections, and ENT malignancies Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts Every other weekend required Every other holiday required No on-call responsibilities May be assigned charge role or precepting duties nearly every shift Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Minimum one year of nursing experience required Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred Charge and precepting experience preferred Additional Information Provides competent clinical nursing care in coordination with the interdisciplinary team Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcomes Delivers patient and family education tailored to individual learning needs Participates in discharge planning and identification of high-risk patients Engages in unit performance improvement activities and professional development Promotes a safe, clean, and collaborative care environment These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
