Registered Nurse (RN) - First Assist

Registered Nurse First Assistant Perioperative

Schedule: Rotating shift; 5 x 8s. Shift times include 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, or 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM; Monday through Friday. Call required.

Assignment Details: Guaranteed Hours: 40.00 Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements:

• Current RN license in state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per facility policy
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per facility policy
• Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per facility policy (preferred)
• Minimum of three years scrub and circulate experience in an acute care facility
• Completion of an approved didactic RNFA course
• Epic experience
• Professional Liability Insurance (PLI)
• Annual surgeon review

Responsibilities:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients
• Coordinating, managing, providing, and delegating patient care
• Assisting under the direction of the primary operating surgeon in the perioperative care of patients
• Maintaining patient, co-worker, and hospital privacy
• Ensuring documentation is clear, concise, and legible
• Participating in the Standards of Conduct and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork
