Activity Specialist (LSNC Youth Programs)

Organization Overview: The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. The Isaacs Center focuses primarily on the needs of children and low-income families, out-of-school and out-of-work youth, and aging New Yorkers. We operate at community centers located in the neighborhoods of East Harlem and Yorkville, and seek to deliver programs that are impactful, innovative, and intergenerational. Program Description: Goddard Riverside Community Center is working in collaboration with the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development and the New York City Housing Authority to provide evening teen center programming at Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center on the Upper Westside. The Teen Center @ Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center is located within the Amsterdam Addition Housing Development and across from the Amsterdam Houses. Position Summary: The NYCHA TEP at Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center is seeking a dynamic individual to provide specialized activities to youth including dance, art, technology, culinary and discussion based. The Activity Specialist is an integral part of providing youth with activities that promote creativity and self-expression amongst the youth. Schedule: Monday-Friday, Saturday & Sunday (6:00 pm - 11 pm, 3pm - 11pm) Hourly Range: $25-$30/hr Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position.
