Position Summary 

We are seeking dependable and safety-focused Laydown Yard Operators to support operations at an outdoor electrical infrastructure laydown yard in Omaha, GA. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy-duty forklifts to move, organize, load, and unload materials while maintaining an organized and efficient yard . Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and committed to following all safety procedures. 

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate 36,000 lb. and 12,000 lb. straight mast forklifts to move materials throughout the laydown yard.  
• Load, unload, stage, and organize materials to support project operations.  
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.  
• Assist with general yard duties as needed to support daily operations. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and company policies.   

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating large-capacity forklifts in an industrial, construction, or outdoor yard environment.  
• Experience operating 12K and/or 36K straight mast forklifts is strongly preferred.  
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the shift.  
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.  
• Reliable transportation is required, as employees must travel to the job site.  
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed and perform physically demanding work. 
• Ability to lift weight up to 50 lbs.  
• Steel toed shoes/boots required. Addition PPE provided 

Schedule: 

• Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM 

Compensation:

• $23.00 per hour
