Clinical Pharmacy Specialist II Oncology $20K Hiring Incentive

Job Overview Under the general supervision of the Manager, Clinical Pharmacy Services, the Clinical Pharmacist II – Oncology manages the outpatient oncology and medical pharmacy services in collaboration with medical staff and other health professionals. Responsibilities include daily rounds and recommendations to improve patient outcomes, optimize drug therapy, and reduce costs. The pharmacist participates in the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee and other assigned committees, conducts medication use evaluations (MUEs), formulary reviews, and related reports. They manage existing procedures and protocols or implement newly designed ones, integrate clinical oncology pharmacy services with information technology, and lead projects supporting organizational oncology needs. The role also supports regulatory and quality preparedness, provides ongoing instruction and training to pharmacists, residents, and students, assists with order-entry and dispensing processes, and performs duties as assigned. Proficiency in essential computer and software skills, including MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and email, is required for effective job performance from day one. Requirements Minimum Education: Required by certification and/or licensure. Preferred Education: Master’s in a healthcare-related field; Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD). Minimum Experience: 2 years of direct oncology experience. Preferred Experience: 5 years of direct oncology experience. Required Certification: Board Certification in Oncology (BCOP) within one year of hire. Preferred Certification: Not Applicable. Required License: Current California Registered Pharmacist (RPh). Preferred License: Not Applicable.
