Warehouse Associate I

Warehouse Associate IMcKenney's is looking for a dependable and motivated individual to join our warehouse team as a Warehouse Associate I. This is an entry-level position focused on supporting material handling, order staging, and warehouse organization. You will gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced construction logistics environment with opportunities for cross-training and advancement.This position is part of a clearly defined career progression within our Warehouse operations team. High-performing team members have the opportunity to advance from Associate I to Associate II to Warehouse Coordinator, with increasing levels of responsibility, ownership, and influence over operations.Duties and Essential Job Functions:Unload incoming deliveries from vendors, identify materials, and coordinate storage of these materials in dedicated locations.Use iPhone and warehouse software (Warehouse Connect) to receive and remove materialPick and stage material for outbound shipments based on McKenney's dispatching software (TruckTicket)Perform quality checks to verify the integrity of all materials and equipment in each inbound deliveryAssist with tool room, trucking, or jobsite deliveries when neededLog hours worked per job and submit weekly time ticketsParticipate in daily safety practices, including Near Miss and Safety Observation reportingBasic Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDBasic computer and mobile device skillsAbility to safely operate or learn to operate a forklift (training provided)Reliable, organized, and willing to learnPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or material handlingExposure to construction or warehouse environmentsKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Characteristics:Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethicWillingness to learn inventory software and warehouse processesDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality checksPhysically capable and safety-consciousAble to take direction, ask questions, and work well within a teamPositive attitude and openness to feedback and cross-training opportunitiesAdherence to 5S standards and jobsite readiness practicesWorking Conditions and Physical Effort:Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.Work environment involves moderate exposure to construction warehouse hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.Strong physical effort.
