Finance Manager

Our client, Qualisys, is seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of the financial function for their North American business and support the company's continued growth. For more information, visit About the Position As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company's financial records and leading core accounting and financial operations for QNA. You will oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, manage compliance, audit, and tax activities, and serve as a trusted financial advisor to operational leadership. This role is based in Chicago, IL, and reports directly to the SVP of Qualisys North America with a dotted line to the CFO of Qualisys Group. Main Tasks & Responsibilities Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process Prepare and maintain IFRS-compliant financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements Partner with leadership to develop annual budgets, maintain forecasts, and provide insights into financial performance and business trends Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and prepare short-term cash forecasting Establish, maintain, and strengthen internal controls to support financial integrity and compliance Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements, including sales tax requirements Drive process improvement, automation initiatives, and efficiencies across accounting and financial operations Optimize and support the ongoing development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related financial systems Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, supporting sound decision-making and business performance What We Expect from You Your Work Experience, Education, & Skills Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Min 6 years of progressive accounting and finance experience Min. 2 years of experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Senior Accounting Manager, or in a similar leadership role Proven ability to manage the full accounting cycle in a small-to-medium-sized business environment Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting requirements Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a comparable ERP platform for accounting and financial management Experience managing or coordinating external audits Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analysis capabilities Experience within manufacturing, technology, or other product-based industries is highly beneficial Familiarity with multi-entity, multi-state, or international reporting environments is preferred Experience supporting ERP implementation, system improvements, or process optimization initiatives is beneficial Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable operating independently Collaborative and relationship-oriented, with the ability to work effectively across teams, functions, and cultures Adaptable and resourceful in a growing, evolving business environment A proactive \"builder\" who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and driving positive change We offer more than just a job The opportunity to join a leading company where your expertise, ideas, and contributions will be recognized and valued A collaborative, international environment with both the stability of an established global company and the agility of a smaller organization Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, life insurance, and 401(k) #J-18808-Ljbffr
