Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 3 years of experience required License: South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Travel experience required Med/Surg experience required First-timers not accepted Experience preferred in telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias Description: The position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. The shift is 4x12s, nights from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Floating within scope may be necessary to meet facility needs. The patient ratios are 1:6 to 1:7. Candidates must have experience managing dysrhythmias. Additional preferred skills include colostomy management, feeding tube care, and peripheral line management. The facility is a short-term acute care hospital with a daily census of around 36 patients. Common patient diagnoses include acute pain, anxiety, bronchitis, sepsis, and various surgical care needs. Travelers should be aware during hurricane season that all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. All time off must be included at the time of submission. No time off requests will be accepted after submission.
